This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure. Here at Aquamarine the standard Open Water Course takes five days to complete. All parts of the course are completed in the resort.
Your instructor will assume that you have no advance knowledge of diving and that they will take you through each stage point by point, mixing theory and practice and explaining the details as you go. |

Scuba Diver |

The course covers the basics of diving and safety rules. After completing the Basic Scuba Diver course you will be able to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 12 metres accompanied at all times by a Divemaster or Instructor.
The course itself consists of three knowledge development sessions, three confined water/pool training sessions
and then it's on to two open water training dives on our mainland reefs where you have the chance of seeing mantas, turtles, and even little Nemo himself.

For this course you will have to complete knowledge development, prior to coming on holiday. On arrival at Aquamarine, you will be asked to complete the exam and then it will be straight into the confined water segment of the course and this is made up of five dives, these are done in water that represents swimming pool like conditions.
During this portion of the course you will be taught how to master all of the scuba skills.

The PADI Open Water Diver certification is the corner stone of the PADI System. The course is divided into three main areas:
- Knowledge development, in which there are five modules. (It is advisable to buy the Open Water Diver Manual and to complete the knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter prior to starting the course.
- Confined water is the next segment and is made up of five dives. These are done in swimming pool with easy condition. During this portion of the course you will be taught how to master all of the scuba skills.
- The final segment is made up of four open water dives; the last two are to a maximum depth of 18m.
During these dives; we will make sure that you have mastered all that you have learned in the previous two areas and before completion the student must complete a 200m swim and a 10-minute tread water.
