DIVING HISTORY   /   SCUBA MANIA RECOGNITION
THE SEA HUNT
  Long before diving…
became popular and we had learned about many of the inhabitants of our oceans, diving was an activity that only a few brave souls undertook. Many recreational divers will admit that their first real interest in Scuba diving was because of SEA HUNT.
For those of you too young to remember, SEA HUNT was a first-run syndicated TV series that was originally broadcast for four seasons between 1958 and 1961.
THE DOXA
  The DOXA SUB 300T…
wrist watch was born introducing two revolutionary innovations. The first feature was the unidirectional rotating bezel which integrated a no-decompression limit table to the watch.
The official US Navy Air dive table for no-decompression dives was engraved on the bezel to assist divers in taking care of time and water depth during underwater excursions.
Years later, other brands were inspired by this feature and decided to print extracts of the no-decompression limit table on the strap of their diver watches.
JAMES BOND
  James Bond…
was created by author Ian Fleming and remains one of the most famous secret agents in modern fiction. Bond is a cool, handsome, dangerous agent for British Intelligence. The popular Bond movie series began with 1962's Dr. No and extended into the 21st century.
Many of those movies introduced agent Bond scuba diving to complete his mission, big movie stars like Sean Connery and Roger Moore where filmed in scuba gear investigating and battling underwater.
