THE RED SEA
Being the most famous and the nearest tropical sea to the European continent and the Middle East, the Red Sea descends between the large deserts of Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti from the west and Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen from the east.
It stretches from north to south between Gulf of Aqaba and straits of Bab El Mandab, a distance of about 2000 Km (1300 miles).
The red sea is approx. 2000 meters deep with a surface area of aprox.450'000Km.
Due to this location, relatively invariable temperatures all year around (between 20 and 30 degrees), low humidity, high evaporation and limited water exchange with the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea is known to be one of the saltiest life sustaining seas in the whole world (salinity is approx. 4.1%).
There are more than 3000 different species living in the Red Sea of which 25% of those species are endemic. (They only exist in the Red Sea).

Sinai… the only gate connecting the African and the Asian continent, it is that marvelously created triangle between the Gulf of Aqaba, the Gulf of Suez and the Mediterranean Sea.
SHARM EL SHEIKH
Located in… the very southern part of Sinai on the Gulf of Aqaba side, Sharm El Sheikh was a travel destination mainly
for divers and wanting to learn to dive tourists, until the early 90's when it was developed to become a very luxurious
resort area with a wide variety of activities.
